Star Sport Academy suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Diamond Stars at the Koidu playing field on Sunday, May 11.

However, following a protest regarding the home side’s use of four ineligible and unregistered players, Sport Academy was awarded three points and two goals by the Sierra Leone Premier League Board’s Emergency Disciplinary and Protests Committee.

The committee found Diamond Stars Football Club guilty of violating Rules 11.1, 11.2, 11.3, and 24.1 (f). Consequently, in accordance with Rule 24.2, Diamond Stars forfeited three points and two goals to Star Sport Academy.
