Babadi Kamara, president of the Sierra Leone Football Association, has emphasised the importance of strong performance by the team to improve their chances in the CAF Champions League second-round preliminary, scheduled for next month. His comments were made during a visit by the Star Sport Academy delegation to his residence in Freetown on Friday, September 18.

The delegation included Chairman Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally and CEO Mohamed Jusu Tarawally, Esq., along with other officials. They visited Babadi Kamara to thank him for his ongoing support.

President Kamara conveyed to the players, encouraging them to make the most of the opportunity they have and perform well in the next stage of the continental elite competition.

“The most important thing for Sierra Leone is that we must play in the CAF Champions League regularly. On the pitch, you are all equals. Believe in yourselves and show what you can do,” Babadi said. “You have a great chance to play at a high level on behalf of Sierra Leone, so please take this opportunity and give it your all.

Remember, you are representing not just yourselves but our country, so play hard,” said President Babadi.

The SLFA chief reminded our team and technical staff to stay focused and work together during the tournament.

Chairman Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally thanked the SLFA President for his support and motivation. He promised that the team would do their best to represent the country with pride.

The team left the presidential residence ready to represent Sierra Leone, taking a group photo before they headed out.
