All systems are set for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League Preliminary Round 1 match between Sierra Leone’s Star Sport Academy and Medina United from The Gambia, following a successful match coordination meeting held at the Southern Arena in Bo.

The meeting focused on finalising strategies for the smooth implementation of match-day operations and tournament protocols.

In attendance were CAF Match Commissioner Ivan Gartor Brown from Liberia, Referee Assessor Faith Uwugiaren Irabor from Nigeria, and senior officials from the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA.

They included David Turner Esq., General Coordinator, and Mohamed Bowen Freeman, Safety and Security Manager. Key areas discussed included stadium readiness, security arrangements, officiating, media, and fan management ahead of the encounter.

Star Sport Academy will host Medina United on Saturday at the Southern Arena Stadium in what promises to be a crucial first-leg fixture for the home side.
