Star Sport Academy Football Club is pleased to inform its sponsors, partners, fans and the general public that the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has formally engaged the Club to represent Sierra Leone in the 2026/2027 CAF Champions League.

Following the conclusion of the 2025/2026 Sierra Leone Premier League season, the Club received official communication from the SLFA after the League Champions decided not to participate in the competition. As the next eligible club, Star Sport Academy has accepted the responsibility to represent our nation on the continental stage.

Management intentionally waited a few days before making this announcement to allow for the necessary internal consultations and preparations. We believe it was important to communicate this development in a coordinated and responsible manner.

We congratulate the League Champions (Bo Rangers FC) on their successful season and extend our sincere appreciation to the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), the Executive Committee, and the SLFA Secretariat for the confidence placed in our Club.

We accept this responsibility with humility and are fully committed to representing Sierra Leone with professionalism, discipline and pride. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors, partners, fans, players and technical staff for their unwavering trust and commitment.

Your continued support has been instrumental in our journey and we look forward to sharing this historic moment with you. Preparations for our CAF Champions League campaign are already underway, and we remain focused on ensuring that Star Sport Academy and Sierra Leone are represented with honour and distinction.
