Star Sport ready for crunch quarter-final battle with East End Lions

Star Sport Academy are in full throttle as they prepare for a decisive FA Cup quarter-final clash against East End Lions at the SLFA’s playing turf on Sunday.

Following an intense training session at Lumley Beach this afternoon, the club’s hierarchy showed strong backing for the squad with a morale-boosting visit to the training ground.

The delegation included President Yankuba Jusu Tarawally, CEO Mohamed Jusu Tarawally, Team Manager Musa Pokawa, Chief Scout and Transfer Officer Alimamy Conteh, Youth Development Director Victor Lewis and Human Resource Director John Bockarie Smith.

The board delivered a clear and united message to the players: this is a defining moment in their campaign as they aim for continental football. With a spot in the Orange FA Cup semi-finals on the line, they emphasised that nothing short of victory is acceptable.

President Yankuba Jusu Tarawally reinforced the belief within the camp, reminding the squad that they are just two wins away from the grand final. He expressed confidence that reaching that stage could propel the team all the way to lifting the trophy this season.

Head Coach Amidu Karim echoed the board’s sentiments, praising their continuous support and urging his players to translate their hard work on the training pitch into a commanding performance on match day.

Captain Mohamed Buya Turay also stepped forward, speaking passionately about what this fixture means to the team. He assured fans and stakeholders alike that the squad is fully prepared, focused, and ready to leave everything on the pitch in pursuit of victory.

As the countdown to kickoff begins, Star Sport Academy stand united, with belief in their quality, hunger for success, and eyes firmly set on the next round. One thing is certain: Star Sport Academy are ready to fight for its place among the elite.
