Freetown, Sierra Leone | 31 July 2026 | Star Sport Academy today paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, accompanied by the General Secretary, Mohamed Benson Bawoh and the Deputy GS of the Association.

The visit followed the club’s formal request to meet with the SLFA leadership to express appreciation for the confidence reposed in Star Sport Academy to represent Sierra Leone on the continental stage and to brief the Association on its technical and administrative preparations.

During the meeting, the Chairman of Youth Football at Star Sport Academy, Mr Victor Lewis, introduced the delegation and expressed profound gratitude to the SLFA President and Executive Committee for their unwavering support of the club and to youth football development in Sierra Leone.

The Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Jusu Tarawally Esq., also conveyed the club’s appreciation and reaffirmed Star Sport Academy’s commitment to professionalism, discipline and excellence as ambassadors of Sierra Leone in international competitions.

The club’s technical team briefed the SLFA leadership on the team’s preparations, including training programmes, player readiness and plans for the forthcoming competitions. In his remarks, the SLFA President thanked the Star Sport Academy delegation for the visit and commended the club for its remarkable progress and contribution to football development.

He emphasised that football can only grow through unity, collaboration and strict adherence to the statutes, rules and policies governing the game. The President further encouraged all football stakeholders to work together for the advancement of Sierra Leone football and pledged the Association’s continued support to clubs representing the nation internationally.

As a gesture of support, the SLFA, through the President, announced the donation of 25 footballs to Star Sport Academy to aid the club’s preparations. Star Sport Academy expresses its sincere appreciation to the President, General Secretary, Executive Committee, and the entire SLFA family for their warm reception, encouragement, and continued support.

The Academy remains fully committed to representing Sierra Leone with honour, integrity and distinction in both the CAF Champions League and the West African Champions Cup.
