Freetown, Sierra Leone – Star Sport Academy (SSA) has presented an ambitious proposal to the National Sports Authority (NSA), seeking access to the National Stadium practice field and strategic collaboration to strengthen grassroots football development in Sierra Leone.

The engagement was attended by the CEO and other executive members of SSA, while the Executive Director, his Deputy and other management staff of the NSA were also in attendance.

During the presentation, SSA representatives outlined the Academy’s vision of becoming a leading football academy and a model for youth development in West Africa.

The presentation highlighted the need for stronger grassroots structures, talent identification and competitive exposure for young footballers.

SSA also highlighted its ongoing academy development in Songo and its long-term goal of impacting at least 5,000 young footballers through football, education, discipline and life skills.

The Academy reaffirmed its commitment to child safeguarding and creating a safe environment for young players.

The proposed partnership with the NSA is expected to support youth football development and help build stronger pathways for Sierra Leone’s next generation of football talents.
