Freetown, Sierra Leone | 11 July 2026, Star Sport Football Academy today held a successful meeting with parents and guardians at its office located at 3 Guy Street, Off Krootown Road, Freetown, as part of preparations for the upcoming Star Sport Holiday Football Programme.

The meeting brought together parents, guardians and members of the Academy’s management to discuss key aspects of the programme, including its objectives, schedule of activities, child safeguarding measures, player welfare, the code of conduct and other operational arrangements.

In his opening and welcome remarks, Mr Victor Lewis, the Chairman for Youth Development, warmly welcomed all parents and guardians and thanked them for their commitment to supporting the development of their children through football.

He emphasised that the Academy places the safety, discipline, education and holistic development of every child at the centre of its programmes.

Speaking on behalf of the Administration Department, Ahmadu Tamba Lebbie reiterated the importance of the meeting, noting that meaningful collaboration between the Academy and parents is essential to achieving the objectives of the Holiday Football Programme.

He called for continued cooperation, open communication and mutual support to ensure a safe, disciplined and rewarding experience for every participant.

During the interactive session, parents and guardians raised important questions and concerns relating to the welfare of the children, daily training schedules, supervision, safety measures, feeding arrangements and general programme management.

The management team responded to the questions, provided clarifications, and assured parents that appropriate safeguarding measures and welfare standards have been implemented to protect and support all participants throughout the programme.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both the Academy and parents to work together in creating a positive environment that promotes football development, discipline, teamwork and personal growth among the young players.
