Star Sport Academy were held to a 1-1 draw by Bai Bureh Warriors in their Leone Rock Premier League match on Friday, week eleven of the season.
Michael Brima scored a late goal for the Warriors, which prevented Star Sport Academy from winning. Earlier, Senessie Janneh had given the home team the lead with a goal in the sixth minute.
Janneh scored early in our match against Bai Bureh Warriors, giving us a goal advantage in the first half at the Sierra Leone Football Association playing field.
He received a nice assist from Alie Ramadan Kabia, whose header found him in a good position as he neatly slotted home past the Warriors’ keeper.
The game became harder after that goal as Bai Bureh Warriors pushed us in their bid to get an equaliser, but our defence stood firm to hold on to the lead at the break.
After the break, we returned with renewed intensity, eager to build on our first-half scoreline. However, the Bai Bureh Warriors made it challenging for us. They kept pushing until the very last minute, and ultimately, they found a last-gasp equaliser.
Despite this, Star Sport remains unbeaten and continues to sit atop the table with a two-point cushion.
