Bo City Southern Arena has been confirmed as the venue for Star Sport Academy’s CAF Champions League first-leg preliminary round clash against Medina United of The Gambia on 5th September 2026.

The match will mark a historic moment for our club as we prepare to make our debut on the international stage, just two years after securing promotion to the top tier of the Sierra Leone Premier League.

Coach Amidu Karim’s team will be looking to make a strong start against the Gambian side as they begin their journey in Africa’s premier interclub competition. Our return leg will be played the following week, with the winner over the two legs advancing to the second round of the CAF Champions League preliminary stage.

For Star Sport Academy, the tie represents another important milestone in the club’s rapid rise and growing ambitions in African football.
