Our midfielder, Santigie Fornah, scored his first goal in the CAF Champions League. This goal was also the first ever for Star Sport Academy in this top African club competition. This was a proud moment and an important achievement for him.

He scored with a powerful header during the second leg of the preliminary round at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, The Gambia.

His goal gave the team a valuable lead and showed his determination on Africa’s biggest club football stage.

Although the home team equalized late in extra time, the result allowed Fornah and his teammates to move on to the next round due to the away-goal rule.
