Michael Kargbo scored his first Leone Rock Premier League goal for Star Sport Academy since joining our team, and it turned out to be the deciding factor in a hotly contested 2-1 win.

The forward showed great composure to find the net late on in the match, helping his side gain a crucial advantage in a closely contested encounter against Freetown City at the Approved school playing field.

After a disheartening month of May, this was our second victory this June in a row. Though Star Sport had many opportunities in the game, Kargbo’s goal finally set the teams apart.

The goal pleased both teammates and fans as it underlined the increasing importance of our campaign. As a result, we continue to maintain our league position after week thirty-one.
