Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to The Gambia, H.E. Martha C Kanagbo, inspired the Star Sport Academy on Friday, September 11, 2026, as they geared up for their crucial second-leg CAF Champions League match on Saturday at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Accompanied by the Acting Head of Chancery, Mr. Michael Jia Kangbai, and Financial Attaché, Elizabeth Lebbie, she visited the team’s camp at the elegant Elux Apartments in Senegambia.

Upon her arrival, she received a warm welcome from Chairman Ing. Yankuba Jusu Tarawally, CEO Mohamed Jusu Tarawally, Esq., Team Manager Musa Pokawa, and other respected dignitaries of the club.

During her visit, H.E. Kanagbo took a moment to extend her heartfelt wishes to the players, urging them to embody unity and sportsmanship as they prepared for this significant match.
