Star Sport Academy’s head coach, Amidu Karim, has given some encouragement after the first training session in Kenema ahead of the West Africa Champions Cup competition preparation.
The squad moved to Kenema to concentrate on training. The first training session lasted an hour with an emphasis on improving fitness for upcoming competitions.
He said, “The first session was exciting as new players like Mohamadu Lamin from Bo Rangers on loan joined the squad, Santigie Fornah and others. The technical team is working on conditioning and helping new players integrate quickly.
Karim is looking forward to the chemistry between the old and new players and is optimistic regarding the spirit of the squad and their readiness for the tournament.
“There will be another training session in the evening and it is all about teamwork to take the side to another level.”
