Head coach Amidu Karim feels positive about tomorrow’s CAF Champions League match against Gambia’s Medina United at the Southern Arena, Bo City, in Sierra Leone.

He knows the visitors are strong, but he is optimistic his team will win and has called on the home fans to support the team.

In the pre-match press conference, Coach Karim said his team is ready after completing a tough preseason.

“Since we know we are in the competition, we have researched our opponents to understand their strengths and weaknesses so we can take advantage,” Coach Karim explained. Medina United is not an underdog; they are a very good team. 

Mentally and physically, playing at home in the first leg is a great advantage, and we hope the fans will come and support the team.

He added, “Every football match comes with pressure, especially when we want to win. Medina plays good football, which makes this game a challenge for us, but we are ready for it.”

Team captain James Kai Yamba assured fans that winning is our goal and that the team feels confident for this important first leg of the CAF Champions League.

“We are at home. The fans and the country expect us to play well and secure the victory we need. Everyone believes in us, so we have to use that confidence wisely.”

The game starts at 4:00 PM on Saturday at the Southern Province Stadium in Bo City. Both teams are getting ready for their first match in the tournament.
