In an interview with our media team, our head coach, Amidu Karim, has commended the club’s management for their backing while praising the technical team and players for their unity.

After stepping into the role of head coach, his goal was to foster a positive atmosphere and build momentum as he helped the team reach its full potential.

“First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to God for providing me with strength and determination. I appreciate our management and the members of my technical team.

Accepting the position of head coach for Star Sport Academy was a challenging decision. It was a very difficult choice to make after leaving as head coach of Sierra Leone National team, Leone Stars.

Given the team’s circumstances, it was not an ideal situation, yet I chose to embrace the challenge because the team has numerous young players full of potential. Thus far, I am quite pleased with the team’s progress and am thrilled that the players are eager to learn.

Regarding our final position, yes, I am happy considering where we stood at the conclusion of the first rounds. Based on my experience, I believe this team will be significantly improved next season.

I would also like to take this moment to thank the entire executive team for their unwavering support throughout the season. To our fans, we are going to need your support even more next season, and to the media, I want to extend my thanks – I hope we can all look forward to a successful upcoming season.”

Coach Karim took over the team and guided us to a seventh-place finish in the second half of the campaign, achieving six wins, seven draws, and four defeats.
