Coach Amidu Karim Eyes Leone Rock League Positive Start

Our head coach, Amidu Karim, has emphasised that his team must achieve a positive result in Monday’s Leone Rock Premier League match in Sierra Leone, taking place at the SLFA academy field.

A rematch of last season’s opener between SLIFA FC and Star Sport Academy, where SLIFA won 1-0 on December 12, 2024.

Karim stressed that winning the first game is crucial as it sends a message that the team is ready to compete. He expressed confidence in the team’s focus and readiness for the challenge ahead, noting that a win would significantly boost their confidence.

Regarding injuries, he mentioned that a few players are dealing with minor injuries, but he has suitable cover. However, one major player missing from tomorrow’s game will be Ibrahim Sillah, who is suspended.

‘Our preseason preparation has been good overall, having won against Bo Rangers and drawn with Kamboi Eagles.’
