The team demonstrated remarkable resilience to secure a hard-fought point at the SLFA’s playing ground on Friday in a thrilling 2-2 encounter against Luawa FC.
We opened the scoring early in the match, taking the lead in the 15th minute with a well-placed shot from Alie Ramadan Kabia. Throughout the first half, we showcased some dynamic and exciting football, creating several scoring opportunities that put pressure on the Luawa defence.
However, the visitors managed to level the score with an unfortunate own goal by our defender, James Kai Yamba, which shifted the momentum of the game.
As the second half unfolded, Luawa seized the initiative and took the lead with a striking goal from Sorie Sesay in the 75th minute, making it 2-1. Despite this setback, our team refused to back down.
In a thrilling final minutes, Alie Ramadan Kabia emerged as the hero, netting his second goal of the match in the 79th minute, ensuring we walked away with a deserved point in a 2-2 draw.
